Every once in a while I get the opportunity to photograph a stallion who has incredible presence and whose soul just shines through. This gorgeous older Lusitano stallion that I photographed in Portugal is one of those very special horses.

“Adobe Town Stallion’s Dance” by Carol Walker
I took this image two months ago in the Adobe Town Herd Management Area in Wyoming. Converting the image to black and white emphasizes the dust and the drama as this beautiful wild grey stallion postures and seems to dance as a rival stallion approaches his family.
