New Wild Horse Artwork
“Tecumseh Runs” by Carol Walker
This beautiful wild stallion named Tecumseh lives in the McCullough Peaks Herd Area of Wyoming. Although he was a very young band stallion at the time of the 2009 roundup, he was able to get his mares back afterward, which demonstrates the strong bonds that had formed between he and his mares. Here Tecumseh is running in the very early morning back to his family after playing with some bachelor stallions. The use of black and white emphasizes his dramatic coloring in this image.

New Horse Artwork
“Dark Dance” by Carol Walker
The theme of black and white is continued in the second image in this newsletter. This dramatic image of a stallion leaping up from a band of light cast in a dark arena was taken in southern France. The shutter speed was fast in order to capture this extreme action, and the dust is clearly flying, lit up by the light. This beautiful warmblood stallion was having a wonderful time playing, and the dramatic light emphasizes his power and strength.
