New Wild Horse Artwork

“Picasso Leaps” by Carol Walker

This iconic wild stallion named Picasso lives in the Sand Wash Basin Herd Area in Colorado. He is known as the Grand Old Man of Sand Wash Basin, and although his age is estimated at 24, he still has a family, and still displays a wild joy as he leaps, heading to join his family. Picasso’s gorgeous coloring is set off by the colors of sage and dust, and the image captures the action in mid-leap.

This image is available as a fine art print or as a gallery wrapped stretched canvas, and it works best in a rectangular size. The code for ordering the image is: fineart-164-picassoleaps

New Horse Artwork

“The Stallion and the Mare” by Carol Walker

This intimate portrait is of an Andalusian stallion meeting a mare for the first time in southern Spain. It was a dark, rainy, dreary day, and so I converted this image to black and white to emphasize the relationship of the two horses and the drama of black horses against a black background.
